It comes with a adapter, that you can have the choice, either to
put it in the usb adapter, or the sd sleeve, that will fit in the
sd card slot, and either way, it works well with the braillenote.

The only thing is that you do not have the convenience of being
able to put the card in the slot, out of the way; you have to
worry about, basically, a thumb drive. I cannot wait for the day
when the bn supports sdhc; I will be getting a 16gb card.

If you are shopping for a sd card, I just bought a 16 gb micro sd
card, that came with a usb adapter, that is recognized by the
Braillenote just fine.
With tax and shipping, it cost me $81.

SD cards these days cost about $10 and up. Note the BrailleNote
cannot use SDHC called High Capacity SD cards but only regular SD
cards.
