Hi All. I feel that we are giving this topic over-exercise, and
we should let it lie. What is going to come, will come. We
can't expect Hw to jump just because we say jump! Humanware have
deadlines that they need to meet, and they have products that are
going wrong, and they have to fix them. The release of ks8
depends upon the fact that absolutely everything is going
absolutely perfectly, which obviously isn't happening. So let's
give hw a bit of slack, and let the worm do his work, as they
say. Cheers, Blake. and

Subject: [Braillenote] Beta testing
Hello Alex and all,
Allowing clients to test software has many benefits. Among them
is the very important reason: OWNERSHIP. If a client can
contribute to the improvement of a product, they are almost
always pleased to do it and gain a deal of satisfaction from
helping.
My first Braillenote (version 5) only displayed 59 seconds in
every minute -- now fixed. The current version of Keysoft still
has a problem setting the time to the right hour. I know we
would have found these faults within minutes. I certainly did
and I wasn't testing, just using.
A proforma could be devised for people wishing to lodge change
repuests. I have even seen applications designed for the
purpose.
We could all win from beta testing by a broader client base.
Dave.
