Sorry, but I have bad news for you. Sounds like the connection between your
display and your mother board is busted. I had these symptoms happen to me
twice. The first time, it was the real thing, and I had to send my bn in.
The second time, it was just trying to scare me or something because it went
away. It sounds like yours is the real thing, though. Is it kind of like
half of the display is readable and the other half is not, and refreshing it
helps some?

Subject: [Braillenote] braille display problem--need help!

Hi all. A month or so ago, my braille display started occasionally
showing garbage instead of what it is supposed to show. I called HW
and they told me how to exercise it. It worked for a while; however, I
have to exercise it more and more frequently. I had to exercise the
braille display three times yesterday and twice today for more than
the recommended half hour to get it to work properly. Is there
anything else I can do?
Jess
