Yep, that sounds like the same problems that I had when mine broke.  If 
anything, it's going to get worse.  How soon can you send it in?  I would 
check with hw and see how the traffic of repairs is at the current time.  Do 
you have another device such as a laptop that you can use while your bn is 
in the shop?  How old is it, what model is it, and do you still have a 
warranty?  If you can pay for it, I would advise getting it fully inspected 
and everything at all that is wrong or dirty repaired or cleaned while it's 
in. Sorry that all that I can give you is bad news.

Yes. The amount of the display that is readable/unreadable varies.
Sometimes refreshing makes the problem go away, and other times it
doesn't seem to help much at all.
