For the benefit of everybody, I'm copying the list. The Z-Machine is a virtual machine. It doesn't really exist in hardware, at least not yet. You and many other individuals already have as many Z-Machines as you need. :-) In BrailleNote, the Z-Machine is implemented using a modified version of the open source JZip interpreter supplied with KeySoft as the "Games" application. Unfortunately the application as provided by KeySoft has limitations not generally indemic to the currently-specified Z-Machine, although for most purposes it should suffice. The KeySoft Games application will play filenames with extension .dat as from Infocom or .z1 through .z8, as conventionally used in the IF community.
