No, sorry. The bn will work with the new cf cards, though, and they can get up to 64gb, and the prices are falling on those all the time. Try newegg.com, amazon.com, insidecomputer.com, supermediastore.com, and sign up for the Blind Bargains email list to watch for deals on memory at blindbargains.com. The bn has the smallest flash disk (it is technically not a hard drive, but that is not important) of any blindness pda; the pacMate has 64mb (ok, so that is smaller), the Voice Sense has 1gb, the Braille Sense Plus has 8gb. Older units, like the Blazie notetakers, have much less, but they are not really viable alternatives to the bn.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] Can You Increase the size of the BN's Hard
Drive?

Hi List,

I was just wondering if there is a way to increase the size of
the braille note's hard drive. I've noticed it's only about 120 MB, which means the amount of files I can keep on it is small compared to my desktop computer.

I will admit I have no experience with other pda's, and perhaps
it is more fair to compare the braille note to other pda's rather than to my desktop computer. But I often use my braille note and computer for similar tasks, so I just expect to be able to store similar amounts of info on them.

Is a hard drive of only 120 MB pretty normal for a pda? And, is
it possible to increase the size of the braille note's hard drive. If not, I guess I can just buy multiple compact flash disks on which to store my files.

Thanks.

Lauren
