Hi Lauren,
Well, unless a new hardware version comes out, there's no way to
increase the Flash Disk space except to get a larger replcement
that would fit the Flash chip port inside the BrailleNote. I
personally recommend a CompactFlash card (up to 64 GB) and/or an
SD card (not High Capacity; up to 2 GB, and in some cases, up to
4 GB).
You see, Flash is an internal thing (the 120 MB is how
BrailleNote reports sterage; for us, it's 128 MB; I'll explain
why upon request).
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] Can You Increase the size of the BN's Hard
Drive?
Hi List,
I was just wondering if there is a way to increase the size of
the braille note's hard drive. I've noticed it's only about 120
MB, which means the amount of files I can keep on it is small
compared to my desktop computer.
I will admit I have no experience with other pda's, and perhaps
it is more fair to compare the braille note to other pda's rather
than to my desktop computer. But I often use my braille note and
computer for similar tasks, so I just expect to be able to store
similar amounts of info on them.
Is a hard drive of only 120 MB pretty normal for a pda? And, is
it possible to increase the size of the braille note's hard
drive. If not, I guess I can just buy multiple compact flash
disks on which to store my files.
Thanks.
Lauren
