Hi Rhonda,

The tech person told me it will cost about 300 Canadian dollars to change from a QT to a BT. Although I can type reasonably fast on my computer, the QT keyboard is not that comfortable and easy to type. The keys are smaller and are more cramped. So I think I might switch.

Thanks very much to everyone else who answered my questions.

Cheers,

Quyn

Hello Quyn
I don't know what the cost is to change from a QT to a BT. But, to answer your questions, yes, you can write in grade two Braille. Normally, on a BT unit, a Braille document, Keyword type is set by default. You can write in grade two when you send email. The only thing you can't do is send attachments in Keyword if you are sending to a computer, because they can't be open. Other than that, I think a BT is a good decision, because it sounds like you are proficient in Braille. As far as the Spacebar, BT's can do the same thing, but hopefully, you wouldn't have the problem.
Good luck, and I'd love to know what you decide to do.

Kind regards,
Rhonda Stogner
