Yes, I can back this up, I'd written some music and given it to my friend for backup and he gave it back to me, and it worked.

Subject: [Braillenote] Unofficial Results: Zip files can be
opened now

Hi folks,
Just out of curiosity, coupled with the new build of KeySoft 7.5,
I've decided to test whether the theory of zip file support is
valid or not. The surprising news: from my testing with simple
zip files where only files were contained, it works. Here's how:
1. At the zip file, press ENTER to open it. KeySoft asks,
"Folder for unpacked Bookshare book?" If you want to select a
drive, press BACKSPACE, then select a desired folder.
2. At the "password" prompt, just press ENTER. This will ensure
that zip files can be opened.
3. Then at the prompt, "Delete the original book?" To delete the
zip file, press y. Otherwise, press n.
NOTE: Right after this, an "error" will be given, indicating that
a book cannot be created where an existing book exists. As to
the cause of this message I don't know, but my guess is that,
since KeySoft treats zip files as Bookshare books, that could
cause misrecognition and mistreatment of zip archive as a
compressed Bookshare file containing only one book. A workaround
that I can envision is full support for zip compresssion and
unzipping: where a standard zip archive would be treated as a
folder and there would be options to either open the archive or
unzip it to a different location.
After this has been done, take a look at where you've unzipped
this archive--and surprisingly, (according to my tests), you'll
find your uncompressed files in that location.
As for more complicated archives such as ones with folders, I'll
test it tonight to see what happens.
Cheers,
Joseph
