It is a hardware that plugs in to a USB port and you can use it as a phone. When you pay for it, you get a local number for incoming calls and you can call US and Canada unlimited for mere $20 a year. Sadly it doesn't work with braille note, although this has a great potential if humanware were serious of providing that facility to the BN users. Most of the data resides in the hardware and it connects call via the internet. So you need to have high speed internet to be able to use it.

Subject: [Braillenote] what is magicjack?

Hello list,
What is MAGICJACK, and can it be used with the Braillenote, Voicenote, or PK? If this is not a subject for the list, please contact me off-line at [email protected] or call me at 202-863-0390. I appreciate any information anyone on the list can provide about this device.

Thank you,

Sammie Clay
