Hello,

To set up internet, follow the following instructions.

1. While in any program, press space with o; dots 1-3-5.
2. Press c for connectivity.
3. Press enter on, create a new lan or dial-up connection.
4. Next, fill out the necessary information in which you need for the internet.

For example, if you want to use a lan connection, you would put the following in the feilds.

When the Bn promps, conection configuration name? Type in a name for your connection configuration. You can use any name. For example, you could just use network.

When the Bn asks, device to use? Press space with dots 3-4 to cycle through the connections which are available to you. When you hear, ethernet network connection, press enter.

Next, the Bn will prompt, obtain an IP address automatically? press y for yes.

The last thing the Bn will ask is, use a proxi server for this connection? I have this set for no, and my ethernet works fine, so I suggest you set this to no.

As for wireless, I haven't used that before, so I couldn't tell you what card is the greater one.

Audible isn't currently supported on the latest version of Keysoft which is 7.5 build 31. Humanware will support audible books on Keysoft 8 which isn't out yet.

I have only created a gmail email account but I will give step by step instructions for this.

1. While in any program, press dots 1-5 with back-space and enter. This will bring you to the keymail menu. 2. Scroll down until you hear the Bn say setup options and then press enter. 3. After this, press enter on directory of email accounts. This should be the first item in the menu.
4. Press enter on add an account.

Fill out the necessary forms again with the following information.

1. The Bn will ask, account name? Just type in a name; for example Gmail. 2. The Bn will ask, user name? Computer braille is required. Type in your gmail email address.

3. Next, the Bn will prompt, password? computer braille is required. Type in your email password in computer braille. The Braillenote will display them as stars so you won't be able to identify them as regular braille characters. 4. The next prompt you will hear is your name? You do not need to type your name in computer braille. You can type it in grade two braille if desired. 5. The next thing the Bn will ask for is your email address. This address must be the same as your user name. You must write this in computer braille. 6. The Bn will next ask you for the pop server. Type inpop.gmail.com 7.The next thing you will hear after pop server is the secure connection for pop server? Press y for yes. 8. Next, the Bn will prompt, smtp server? The smtp server for gmail is,smtp.gmail.com.

9. You must have a secure connection for the smtp server as well as the pop server. 10. The next thing the Bn prompts is, smtp authentication required? Press y for yes. 11. The next prompt for the Bn is pop port? Type in the numbers 995.

12. And finally, the last thing is smtp port. Type in 465.

When you exit, the Bn will ask you if you would like to save this record. Press y for yes.

Note: Before adding this account to your Bn, you must create an account online on your computer. You can not create one online via your Braillenote because of the images.

Subject: [Braillenote] Setting Up Email and Internet

Hello All

I was just wondering if anyone could help me. I would like to
set up email
and Internet on my MPower. Also, if I decide to go wireless with
it, what
kind of wireless card would I need?

Just while I'm here, I am aware you can listen to audible files
on the
MPower. I am using Keysoft 7.5 but I can upgrade it. To upgrade
means I have
to go on-line so any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Anne
