Hi all, I've been playing around with KeyChat, and although it lacks some incredibly basic features such as an invisible mode, it is still rather elegant for basic text chats.
The only problem, of course, is that it's just about useless without the ability to communicate with at least one of the basic IM networks--Windows Live, Yahoo, Facebook, or AOL. As three out of four of these have been integrated into other competing notetakers, the fact that KeyChat was even conceived of without this basic functionality seems to me rather like marketing a cell phone that lacked the network technology, such as GSM or CDMA, that everyone uses. Anyways, that's another story. The reason for my message is actually because I happen to know that there are such things as "transports", that will enable a Jabber/XMPP client (such as KeyChat) to communicate with instant messagers such as MSN, AOL, and Yahoo. The trouble is that they're really tricky to find. Up until very recently I was using an MSN transport that I found on jabber.meta.net.nz, but that no longer seems to work. My question is, does anyone know of any other good solutions? I have a few hundred contacts that I instant message with on a daily basis, but absolutely none on KeyChat since none are supported, so it would be awesome to add some of this functionality into KeyChat via a gateway!
