I noticed the same thing you did.  There has been deafening silence on the
Word, HTML and OS issues.  HW will continue to lose customers like you if
they don't shape up real fast.

You do indeed live in the real world and cannot and should not be expected
to use technology that is falling further and further behind.  HW had some
good PR with the introductionn of the Deaf-Blind Communicator (DBC) but they
are squandering this good PR rather quickly.  Don't forget that Bookshare
support for the classics had to be basically forced through pressure brought
by customers.  Do I have concerns about the db community falling behind
eventually, especially if they have the advanced model of the DBC?  You bet
I am.  For those who don't know, the advanced model includes Keysoft whereas
the basic model just includes the DBC software.

We'll see what I ultimately decide to do about this upgrade and what I
ultimately decide to do about my notetaker needs.
