hi all, I have a suggestion for keychat. Make it support the irc pootocol. This way people could connect to networks like testing.bitlbee.org, whig is an IM gateway. Irc is very simple, and this way hw wouldn't have to worry about messenger pootocols changing. here is an example of some things you could do after connecting...

Every so often, the server will send a ping :string message, the clint needs to reply with a pong :string. for instance server: ping :PINGLBEE client: pong :PINGLBEE there is an rfc thing on the irc protocol, but i forget the link. Shouldn't be too hard to find though. Hope someone at hw sees this and passes it along. As I said before irc is a very simple protocol, and this way, for IM stuff, hw wouldn't have to worry ahout msn always changing things.
