The adapter, though, will not fit the Ambicom G cards, which is very annoying since it restricts the wifi card to tha back slot only.

Have a great day,
Alex

Hi.

Humanware doesn't recommend any other kind of card other than the ones
already mentioned on this list. I don't think many people have used the
kind of notebook adapter you have been speaking of since they are not
recommended by Humanware and probably wouldn't work. If you bought one and
tried it you would know for sure, but I don't know if buying different
PCmCIA wireless cards is worth it. The adapter the others have spoken of is
the PCMCIA to Compact flash card adapter that can be purchased from a
computer or electronics store.

When you are talking about adapters do you mean the pcmcia adapters that you
would use to stick a compactflash card in it to put into the pcmcia card
slot? What I mean by adapters is a little different. I mean the wireless
notebook adapter that you have to put into the pcmcia slot. The shape of it is the same as if you were putting an Ambicom with a pcmcia adapter into the
side drive. The feel of it is pretty much the same, the difference is that
you wouldn't need a pcmcia to stick a notebook adapter into it because the
whole notebook adapter is the adapter. I know that wireless B notebook
adapters work in the pcmcia slot I just want to know if wireless G notebook
adapters would work too.

The old cards, the B types, work with pcmcia adapters; new ones, the

adapter is still using the B card, not the G yet.

It was an adapter I'd had previously, to put cf cards into the
pcmcia
slot; so I just stuck my wireless card into it and there it's remained.

I always insert my wireless card with the BN on, and have never

had a

problem. I use my Ambicom card with an adapter in the PCMCIA

slot; I don't

know if that makes a difference.

The only option is the Ambicom wl54G wifi card. I know humanware

sells

them, but I am not sure if you can find them anywhere else.

Remember

(since hw will not tell you this): you must turn off your bn to

insert the

card; inserting the card with the unit powered on will cause it

to lock up

and require you to reset.

Hello fellow braillenote users. I want to buy a wireless card

and I don't

know which one to get. I know that wireless B works well with

the mPower

 but
the problem is that they don't sell very many of those these

days. Now

 the
thing that they're selling are wireless G wireless cards. My

problem is

 that
I don't know for sure if wireless G cards would work on my

braillenote

 BT.
So is there anyone out there who can answer my question. My

braillenote

 is
keysoft ce version 7.5 build 31. If any one out there could help

me then

 that would be great.
