So... If you have a 32 cell mPower, you can get an Apex for
$4000
(USD). Wonder if they would let me llower the price even more in
exchange for my services as a dishwasher? I would love to get one
of
these, but I am in college so do not have that kind of money,
plus I
doubt my state agency will go for it, considering they just paid
for a
display cleaning and battery replacement. If only I had known
about
this 3 months ago, I would have just put up with my old one and
then
bribed the VR people to get an Apex... Ah well, it happens.
Still, all
those new features and possibilities are calling my name...

Hmmm, mine's in Canada right now for a battery change and to be

the unit on.
I wonder if I'll get any kind of offer for a trade-in. Of
course mine is an
18-cell display, so I don't know if I could afford a 32-cell
display. But
maybe it would be worth it to see what they say.

Did everyone know that hw is doing a tradein deal?
I called in for tech support on my MPower today, trouble with
data
missalinement errors and such. While rebooting, I got a
"braille
display is not working" error and the very sweet techgirlie with
a
cute accent told me about the trade-in option. Before asking, I
had to
heckle her a bit. "Are you trying to sell me the new product
when I'm
calling for help?" :-)
Anyway, the trade-in value for my MPower bt32 transplant is
$2200.
Not too bad I guess. I still can't afford it in this economy,
but . . .
:-)

I contacted HumanWare, and was told that the price for the Apex
remains
the

That is U.S.
dollars, I apologize, I didn't ask for every country's pricing.
*smile*
Pricing for the SMA, dictionary, GPS, and Nemeth add-ons also
stays the
same.
Hope that helps.
