Hi,
It is not just mPower that has this problem: I can theorize that PK also has
this problem (mostly because PK has less RAM). But with the advent of Apex
with 2 GB of virtual memory (thanks to the newer OS), this problem will go
away (at least from what I can see it).
The "virtual memory is below certain percent" message is caused when the
BrailleNote (more precisely, the OS) detects that about 1 MB or less virtual
memory is remaining. The probability of this message appearing increases
with more RAM usage, particularly when using KeyWeb (browsing the Internet)
and using Eloquence synthesizer at the same time. As people suggested, I,
too, suggest that you use KeyNote Gold to decrease the probability of
getting this message. If you do get the message, a simple Warm Reset (Reset
button; C3+C4 on the PK) should help "temporarily."
Cheers,
Joseph

A plain reset will temporarily help, but this will always happen with the
mPower because of CE4.2 and the mPower's low ram. The Apex will not have
this problem.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] virtual memory on the Mpower

Hello fellow bn users:
As of today, I'm noticing that whenever I try to go to certain pages, I
get a message from keyweb, that says, "virtual memory free is below 3
percent. What does this mean? and is there anything I can do to stop
this message from coming up?
