Joseph, with all due respect, when I went back to the 7.5 build 31, I haven't had the virtual memory issue. I did reload the boot loader for 7.5. As I said,i am not disagreeing with you, but, I know what's worked for me. Have a super weekend!!

Hi,
Even if the user downgrades to 7.5, the virtual memory issue will
still be there (without notifications). It is not the fault of
KeySoft (KeySoft still counts) - rather, it's the OS. With the
Apex, the message would be gone (hopefully unless someone is
dealing with several hundred megs of data at once.).
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Joseph

I still say that dropping back to 7.5 build 31 is your better
alternative unless you're using the keychat feature. The virtual
memory is so low with 8.0 it's not going to make that much
difference no matter how many times you follow the other
suggestions.

Dear Mike,

This is a new status message which HumanWare put into Keysoft 8
to alert you
when your unit is running low on memory. As Kieran suggests,
clearing out
some unnecessary files could help, but you might also consider
switching to
Keynote speech, assuming that you're now using Eloquence.
Eloquence is a
memory hog, and I've found that switching or starting out with
Keynote
speech can often prolong the time I can spend online before
having to reset.
Eventually though, you will have to Reset to get rid of this
message.

Hope that helps.

Subject: [Braillenote] virtual memory on the Mpower

Hello fellow bn users:
As of today, I'm noticing that whenever I try to go to certain
pages, I
get a message from keyweb, that says, "virtual memory free is
below 3
percent. What does this mean? and is there anything I can do to
stop this
message from coming up?
