Hi, One thing you might be missing is that when you turn on a Brrillenote, you have instant access to the various programs. There is no need to wait minutes if what you want to do is take notes or look at e-mail or addresses. Another is the battery life. Most netbooks only give you around 3-6 hours, though there are some newer ones with 10 hours. A third is that you don't have to carry the extra device, the Braille display as its all in one. I'm not saying that a braillenote is a replacement for a fully functional netbook. It's a matter of what you want to do? For example do you need or want to access video content or stream. What do you need? How much can you or your State or governmental agency afford.
