Hello Marvin
I find that with an HTML email with the mPower I do the steps with backspace x and get to Ascii, I then name the file a.html when I go to the internet browser I can read it fine. The exact steps with the Apex gets me hearing a italic on italic off dot html when I then go to the internet browser I get the extension a dot txt
Any ideas, Alex and Joseph or anyone else?
Peter.

Subject: [Braillenote] Saving Emails as Htm Files

Hello all. I'm not sure if anyone's covered this off-list, but
here
goes. I haven't received emails using my BN (AOL uses an IMAP
server,
and I'm still running version 7.2 on my m'power). I'm betting,
though,
that an incoming message would be saved in keyword text format.
If you
want to save a message as an HTM file, remember to use backspace
with
x at the filename prompt repeatedly until you get the ascii file
option, THEN name the file, giving it a dot htm extension. If
you
don't select to create an ascii file, you'll technically end up
with a
file called X dot htm dot kwt. You won't see the "html" file in
the
browser when you try to find it because you just created another
text
document (you just won't see the dot kwt part of the filename on
any
text document because Humanware, for some reason, thinks it's
appropriate to hide the extensions of its proprietary filetypes.
They
should change that, I think!). So remember to select to create
an
ascii file first, and everything should work fine. I hope this
helps
anyone who's trying to do this.
