Well gang,

I wanna thank you all for trying to get me out of this mess i got
myself into. alex, your idea was on the money, i had forgotten to
specify the extension name when i changed the file's name. so, it
would or should have been simple to go back and do this. i did, but
when i put it into the BN, it still didn't come up. so i popped it
back into the pc to make darn sure it was still on there. but
somehow, in all of this maneuvering , the file has just disappeared.
I can't even find it on the PC in the folder where i had saved it.
and of course, i've checked every other folder as well.

Oh yes, Joseph, thanks for the tip about loading a previously opened
file back into memeory with "space" dots five, six.

but, alas, my file is no more. that'll teach me to refuse to do
something. guess i'll be reading that chapter over again anyway. But
not tonight. I should have quit when i was ahead and tackled it in
the morning. Que sera! thanks guys and dolls.

think i'm gonna like it here.
