Oh, yes, I have definitely done the 4-5-6 reset. Have not tried the service reset, but can't imagine that'd make much difference. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I guess I was just spoiled by the way the BookShare site functioned before its so-called super-duper revamp of January 2009. It seems so unnecessary.

I could download onto my netbook, although I'm definitely not comfortable using the thing, and that defeats the purpose of a braille display and the BRF download.

Have you tried a 4-5-6 reset? Also, it may be taking a while to do
what you are waiting for it to do, but it is not actually frozen.  The
Apex, ever since 9.01, does this; sometimes it will take up to two
minutes, actually, more than that, to link to a new page.  Still, in a
case like that, it may be faster to reset and log back in.  Anyway, see
what the 4-5-6 reset does.
