I am a brand new owner of an Apex and, for the most part, I like
it very much. There is a significant speed improvement over the
M Power and I like the keyboard better. Getting used to the
thumb keys is something to contend with, but not a serious
problem.
However, I ran into a situation today that I hope is something HW
knows about. When I download books from Web Braille and
Bookshare, I take out things that I don't need, such as extra
spaces and long lines of dashes with numbers after them. I do a
find and replace on things and when I'm finished, I have what I
need, and I have gotten rid of what I don't. Anyway, I tried to
replace some text this morning, and I was either faced with the
machine beeping forever and not finding anything which caused me
to have to reset. I also found that, for instance when I entered
a name such as Mary, for example, I was told that the search
string didn't exist, but I knew very well that it did. Also,
inserting a capital beside the name seemed to cause the search
string not to be displayed. Is this a bug, or is everyone
totally confused?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
