Uh oh... I don't know why, but I couldn't duplicate it (actually, I managed
to have my SD cards recognized when the power was off).

Are you putting the card in when the bn is turned on or turned off? I have 
found an anomaly that the bn will only recognize the sd card if it inserted 
when the unit is switched on, which I consider rather silly and annoying.  I

am also running ks 8. I cannot say if this is new to ks 8 because I only 
started using an sd card with my bn after upgrading.
