Maybe it is doable, but only by hw. Jim said that hw would have to sanction it; this is not the case, unfortunately. Currently, there is simply no way of writing source code for the bn family, which is why you never see any programs, even simple ones, being written and released by users. Any program for the bn MUST (all caps) come through hw alone, or a very close partner, such as Sendero Group. This is the case because of the lack of an sdk (software development kit), which is a set of tools that let anyone interested in doing so write programs for a given platform or program, in this case, keysoft. Hw has not released one, though some of us remain hopeful that they will, one day. If that ever happens, it is likely that we will se an increase in the number of basic apps, such as a metric converter or a weather feed, released at little or no cost (depending on the cost of this theoretical sdk). More complex apps would come after, as the users of the sdk got more comfortable with the tools and language...
Anyway, enough rambling. In short: theoretically, skype may be possible, but, because of the lack of an sdk, we would have to wait for hw to release the program, and I doubt they will.
