Hi,

Mainly to hw people, but would welcome any comments. Are there any
plans for, or is there a way of playing .ogg files on a bn mpower? If
they're encoded right, .ogg files can be a lot smaller than their mp3
or other counterparts, and ogg is a free codec (free speech and free
beer). A lot of media players, hardware or software, can play ogg
files, some can even encode them. And no, I don't want to have to run
my ogg files through a converter just so that the bn's media player
can decode them. I don't use my bn a ton these days (I'm more on my
linux machine, and my bn needs a several thousand dollar braille
display fix) but when I do get on it would be cool. Also I don't think
it would be that hard to do, there are already ogg encoders and
decoders for all kinds of devices, it shouldn't be too hard to find
one that works (as I said before, ogg is a completely free, open
codec).

What do you guies think, and could this be added to the mpower in the
next upgrade? I only have one remaining and am probably not going to
be getting another sma soon (see above).

Thanks, Derek Roberts.
