Hello Blake:

The GPS system is incredible but does take a bit of work to use.

With it you can walk or ride anywhere and absolutely know exactly where you are. Often blind folk have been able to direct auto drivers to their destination. I like being able to locate stores and homes. These items would require the purchase of a GPS receiver - a small and not expensive item.

Without the receiver you can tour almost any location using the maps that Sendero Group will provide for you for free. Right in the comfort of your easy chair.

You must go to the Sendero site to get the maps for your country or state.

As for the IM - I do not use this program, sorry.
