Amy,
I've found mine only works if I put the card into the reader before placing
the reader into the slot and doing this once the Apex is switched on. You
do have to wait several seconds before the card (drive) is said to be ready.
I hope this may solve your problem.

I have a BT 18.
Yes I've put a cf card in to the reader.

Hi,
Congradulations.
That's odd... Have you inserted a CF card after
connecting the card reader to your Apex (BTW, what type
of keyboard and display length did you get?)? Cheers,
Joseph P.S. Doing some programming homework...

Subject: [Braillenote] Some questions concerning the Apex
Hello list,
I just got my Apex today. My goodness, it's much thinner
and lighter than the classic was.
The concern I have though is I have two compact flash
card readers and the unit isn't recognizing either one
of them. Is there something I'm doing or not doing right?
Thanks,
Amy
