Yes, upgrading the Apex is much simpler than it was with the MPower. If you want to install an upgrade, put the package on the root of an SD card or USB thumb drive, then insert the card or drive into the Apex. You'll be asked to do a standard reset, and when the Apex reboots, you're then asked if you want to install software? Answer by entering Y and the installation proceeds. When it's complete, you do another reset and it's done. Piece of cake. There's no more worrying about hunting for that old 512mb card you had lying around somewhere.

When I have upgraded any software on my Braillenote I have sent it in to Humanware because one time I tried to upgrade Keysoft my upgrade didn't take, possibly due to getting the timing correct when doing the reset and holding down the necessary Braill keys.
