I'm looking at the case my Apex came in. The only Velcro I see on the right side is on the little flap thing that velcros shut when the charger isn't plugged in. Are you saying that there's a case where the whole back right corner was just velcroed together instead of being solid? Or are you saying that your new case doesn't have the little flap that velcros shut when the charger is unplugged?

I got my Apex last January, so can't believe they made a new case between its release last November and my receiving of my unit in January. I'm Kernfused. <grin>

Subject: [Braillenote] new Apex case is here!

Hi all,
I just got the new Apex case. As was mentioned by other posters, the
major difference seems to be that there is no velcro on the right-most
strap holding the Apex in the back, the one on the corner between the
VGA port and the AC adapter port. So far (about five minutes) it seems
that this case is more stable and has a slightly larger front flap, so
the magnets should seal better and not be so stressed like they were
in the old case. Aside from that the two seem identical. Still, if you
have an old case, I urge you to ask hw for a new one to prevent
disaster (the Apex may fall right out of the old case). It should not
cost you anything to replace the old case with the new one, though you
may have to accept the package and sign for it as I had to.
