Yes, I definitely know what you mean. Ever tried to have a foreign
language textbook as audio only? You have no clue how to spell
anything, where accents go, or any of that... This is why I go with
Bookshare; if I want braille, it is there, but if I want speech, I
just tell the bn to start reading aloud.

On a side note, it should be possible for you to get textbooks from
the publisher as MS Word or pdf files which you can then translate
into readable files for the bn. My college is able to do this for most
of my textbooks; excepting math, I have not had a braille textbook
since my junior year of high school.
