Hi, If this doesn't work I have a tool for reformatting the flash
drive that I can email you. I find this happens quite allot for
me if I try and put too much on the flash drive so I no longer
use the PK for checking emails.

BN QT Apex and PK user.

Hey John, sorry about that. I meant to send the last post
directly to you
instead of Vicky. Oops, brain freeze.
Here ya go again.
I'm a pack rat when it comes to stuff like this; you never know
when it
might come in handy.
Here's an old old message regarding the PK not seeing the flash
disk.
Hope
this helps.

Subject: [Braillenote] pk not seing the flash disk
Hi list,
Sharon if you are in the uk ring me or see if this works.
We have just got back from Antigua where I used the pk with my
new
acquired power adapter and it was very good to read and use the
pk.
but, anyway yes I had the problem of the pk not seing the flash
disk.
do the following.
connect the serial cable to com 1 or 2.
hold down 1 and 4 to do a major re-set on the pk.
go in to the braillenote visual display program on the pc.
now go to new. call it pk.
then in the next screen set the com port to 1 or 2.
next window bits per second 38400
then flow control hardware.
then press ok. now hold the escape on the pc and do a major
reset on the
pk.
holding the end buttons down.
make sure it does not load keysoft. now release the escape key.
now in
the
hyper terminal window type
epsm
then press enterthen type ereg and press enter.
now do a c1 and c4 reset. unplug the cable and restart the pk
with c1 and
c4.
I think humanware do not why this does happen sometimes but if
you cannot
do this you will have to send it back to your dealer.
hope this helps.
