Hi, Nicole,

In a way, you're right but in another way, you're wrong. The BN supports the one-for-one Computer braille which isn't adopted by anybody. But the symbols for the numbers, plus, minus, times and division are the same as Nemeth code. But the Computer braille code has been adopted by BANA is a code and it uses Nemeth Braille along with that code. There are some two-celled signs because CBC doesn't support 8 dot braille. It also has two multiplication signs, one for the dot and one for the cross. I believe dots 16 is the cross and dots 4,16 is the dot. There is a manual about CBC on the BANA web site:
www.bana.org.
Because CBC allows Nemeth code, there are more symbols than the one-for-one computer braille the BN supports.

I wish there wer different names for the two braille systems for computers, but there isn't.
