Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I seem to recall reading, probably on this list, a while back that the bn does not actually turn off. Rather, it is like putting your computer in stand by or whatever you call it where the hard disk is not spinning but it remembers where you are and what you're doing. As those of us who use computers can probably all testify, the same phenomena occurs when you put a computer into stand by, but not restart it several times in a row. After a restart, or in the case of the bn a reset, things run more smoothly.

Subject: resets Re: [Braillenote] Apex: KeyMail freezes when composing longemail

Hi,
This brings up a question I have about resets.

I've had my Apex a few weeks now, and have only used the reset button once.

Do some of you do a reset as a matter of routine?

I know with the Pac Mate that doing a warm reset did seem to help keep things running more smoothly, but am not sure if that is a good idea or not with the Apex.

Thanks.
Crystal
