Hello to all, I am hoping that someone on our list can find an
answer to what is becoming a bit of a mystery. following an
email to the list I sent a few days ago, Brandon contacted me
regarding my assersion that there Were problems with the "find
and replace" facility. He stated that his Apex performed these
operations perfectly. Well, mine certainly doesn't. I asked for
his help and sent him a short test piece and asked him to change
all the commas into periods, using the Apex. Sure enough, he
immediately returned the piece with the punctuation altered. My
Apex certainly can't do it, though it can be achieved on an
Mpower. I have contacted Humanware who state that it has been
logged as a definite fault, and agreed with my findings. I know
we are all short of time, but I would be very grateful if any one
could try writing a few sentences, involving commas and periods,
and then, using the standard "find and replace" on an Apex, try
to reverse them. It could well help get to the bottom of it.
Perhaps there is some get around, though at the moment, we can't
fathom it.
