Hi folks,

Just few updates and announcements:
* BrailleNote PBWorks 7.3: I'll start the beta testing phase of the website sometime next week - mostly for those who are using Apex. Both private and public beta will be offered - the public beta will be used to gather your feedback on content changes and compatibility, and the private beta will be offered to select individuals for gathering technical feedback on website code and to receive assistance with writing some new technical articles.

To participate in private beta: you need to be a "power user" of the BrailleNote - that is, you know how things work and can find solutions to common and hard problems easily; must be either an mPower or an Apex user and knows some programming or website development concepts. If you qualify (or think you do), just drop me an email offlist to participate in this beta.

* New podcasts: thanks to a request from a list member, I'll be recording the Apex version of "upgrading KeySoft," as well as a user FAQ recording on common Apex questions and answers. In addition, other planned podcasts include audio version of installing USB client driver (for braille terminal), audio version of some of the PBWorks articles and so forth. Because of schoolwork, I cannot do these in one session - I'll make sure to do the upgrade one first before moving onto other things.

* 8th BrailleNote Chat: again thanks to a request from another lister, I decided to hold the eighth BrailleNote Chat sometime within the next few weeks. I plan to host it on the weekend - again divided into two sessions to allow international users to join us. The key topic of the eighth chat would be all about recent Apex developments, as well as brainstrming what HW might do within the next few weeks (if and only if Zach's information about imminent release is true). More details on the next post.

At least that's for now. If you have any comments, feel free to send a message.
Cheers,
Joseph (UCR)
