First, the ability to change sounds should definitely be included. However, I suspect that it is one of those features hw will consider to be not worth the investment... sdk, please! As to Eloquence, I am not sure what version the bn runs and if there is a better one. However, I agree that something should be done, since the currently running version is horrible to read with, chopping up sentences and taking up large amounts of memory.
As far as eSpeak, I personally feel that it is a horrible synth and I would never use it, but that is just me. I am not sure it could be done anyway, though, because hw would make money off of its sale as part of their product and I think its license terms prevent that.
