UEB means Unified English Braille. It hasn't been adopted by the U.S. or
U.K. It has been adopted by some other countries, like Australia and New
Zealand. That's why the BN supports it.
In my opinion, the code, especially the math, is quite awful. You will have
to relearn all of your braille math! Math is hare dnough without having to
learn a new code! Some people use this code because the BN's support for it
seems to be better than U.S. This is another way of trying to force UEB
down our throats!
If you want to try it out for yourself, change your preferred braille code
to UEB.
