Hi Gerry,
I had the same problem last night. As someone already mentioned, you'll need to delete the connection record for your setup, then re-scan for the network. The nice thing is that all you'll need to enter is the configuration name if you want to change it, and that 63-character key that you use. Everything else should be done for you.

After recreating the configuration record for my setup, I was able to connect as I normally do.

I'll have to see how it behaves at work, where I have several wireless access points to choose from.

Tom

Hope this helps.
Tom

Subject: [Braillenote] Keysoft 9.1 Broke my Connection to my Home Network

I think it was John Gassman who reported losing his Internet access after
loading the upgrade. I, too, have a problem and will probably be calling
Humanware this morning to try and find out a way to get some diagnostics
or something to dig a bit deeper into my issue.

Here's my situation just to give a data point to others trying out the
upgrade. I have a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router at home that is running
the latest available firmware. I have it set up to allow connection in B
or G mode. I also have it set to use "mixed mode" where, as I understand
it, the router will negotiate a WPA2 connection if it can but will also
fall back to WPA if necessary. I've been able to connect happily to that
router over the past year with the Apex. I assume the connection was WPA
since the Apex hasn't supported WPA2 until now. I'll add that I have a
nice long security key that I believe uses the full 63 characters
available. I also have mac ID filtering enabled on the router. Multiple
computers and an HP all-in-one photo printer all connect to the network
without trouble.

After upgrading the Apex I turned wireless on and attempted to connect to
the network. The Apex came back with a "not connected" message. I tried
deleting my existing connection configuration and then created a fresh one
by scanning for networks, pressing Enter on my home network, and filling
in what I was asked for. I was pleased to see that the prompt was for a
WPA2 shared key. However, after recreating and saving the new
configuration, when I did the "Reconnect using existing configurations"
option, the Apex went fishing for a network, then told me it was
connecting to my network, then bombed out and said it was not connected.

I hope this information is helpful, and if others have the same thing then
it's not just my own little peculiar problem. I'll just add that I was
able with little trouble to connect to our wireless network here at work,
so it's not as if my Apex is totally unable to do wireless networking
following the upgrade.

Cheers,
Jerry
