Hi,
Sorry if you are getting this twice...
It's just the company who produces Sendero GPS.

The other thing I just found out about is if you got your apex
through
somewhere like senderogroup as I did their email address may be
the one
registered with hw. The other place where it be the deeler or a
rehab
office's may have forgotten to unregister their email and that is
why some
of us need to wait 24 hours to get the key. Once they only have
one email
registered to to an apex things should go smoother. Since I got
my apex
through senderogroup I need to wait a little longer. I wish I
had known
about it but at least I now know what is going on.

Hi folks,
Quite a few notes on upgrade process (based on questions and my
own observations):
* License file: Check with HumanWare to make sure the database
has the correct email address for you. As Sabahattin found out,
it uses regiered user's email address - even if it is old.
* Possible errors during installation:
1. While the upgrade is preparing to install the files, you
get,
"error extracting files."
Try using a different storage device, as files might have been
corrupted.
B. While installing the upgrade, you get, "error: checksum
error."
This happens with older USB thumb drives. Try using an SD card.
C. The license was not detected.
It could be that the hwl file has an unneeded character at the
end. In that case, you need to download the file to a different
location (to Flash Disk, for instance).
* Folder names: As Lisa found out (and thanks to Sabahattin's
notes), DO NOT PUT A FOLDER NAMED "TEMP" ON FLASH DISK!!! Doing
so may result in loss of files on this folder. This is because
the extracted archive is saved there before the content of the
files are burned to Flash ROM. If you must keep a temp folder,
rename it to something else before starting the upgrade, or copy
the temp folder to other storage device such as an SD card.
The whole process of upgrades and what the steps mean is quite
hard for beginners to understand now; but when the time arrives
-
perhaps in the upcoming chat (tentatively scheduled for mid
March), I'll post a detailed note on this to the list and on my
site as well.

Other features (again based on observation and testing):
* Images on websites: If an image does not have so-cllled
"altogether tag" (an image description), it'll be shown with the
new image indicator, dollar sign im.
* Password protection: Unlike most lists on KeySoft, as soon as
you confirm that you wish to protect the unit with a password,
BrailleNote will return you to Main Menu. Also, when entering
passwords, the user guide suggests using six to eight computer
braille symbols (alphanumeric).
* Links on documents: If you do click a link in documents, it'll
do one of two things: either launch address prompt (HTTP links)
or will open a new email message with the "send to" line field
in
(in case of email links).
* Wireless troubles: If you cannot connect to a wireless
network,
first try reconfiguring the config record. If that does not
help, try disabling power saving mode (Wireless
Ethernet/Wireless
Options).
At least that's my observations.
Cheers,
Joseph
