Hi, List,
I have been able to duplicate everything all of you have been saying about
the search and replace feature. I'm disappointed the bug is still
there--especially when the Tech Support man told me the entire search and
replace feature had been overhauled.
Well, here are a few work-arounds:
1. QWERTY users should use ASCII text for most files. BT users could do
the same thing. You can still *read grade 2 braille and the search and
replace feature works perfectly in ASCII text files. Once you have edited
the file, you can always translate it to a .brf or .kwb file.
2. After you replace text in a file type other than ASCII, go to the first
replacement. Put your cursor past the $lge0 on the first character of the
replacement. QWERTY users press read with control b, b 2. This command
will force the BN to translate the text into grade 2 braille. I've really
need to get a list of bt commands, (grin).
I wonder if HumanWare will feel as frustrated as we do because the search
and replace still doesn't work right.
