Hi, all. I'm also signed up for WebBraille. This is what should happen: First, click on the link for the volume you want. Then, when the page where you have to accept the terms comes up, hit the button that says "I accept, best for notetakers". If you use the other one, the download will fail. After hitting the button, it will take you to the Braille file. Once you're there, save in whatever folder you want it in with space and s. Hope this helps.

Hi Jasmin,
I received a response last night from Humanware tech support concerning Web
Braille.

I wrote to them because I can go so far as to getting to the download stage
of a volume, but then only get a "download failed." message.

Tech support suggested changing the scripting option.

I have tried doing that, but it makes no difference as far as getting the
volume to actually download.

I am using an Apex BT 18 with 9.1.

I'm assuming from your message that you are having no such issues with Web
Braille.

So, my question is when you are presented with the dialog to accept the folder and file name to download, what are you doing to have the book
successfully download?

Thanks. Obviously, I'm missing something somewhere in this process.

Crystal

Hi,

If you go to the webbraille page, use the thumb keys to find the
fields you need. Place the cursor button between the place where it looks like two grade two and signs and two y.'s. Type in the user name, then use your thumb keys to find the password edit field. Then, follow the steps above to put in your password. After you are done, you can press Enter or use your thumb keys to find the place where it
says "Log In."

Hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Jasmine

When I try space bar before doing anything else nothing happens.
When I go to the page it automatically bring me to the edit field
for the pass word. But since I do not have access to the the
user name I am unable to log in. I might have to call tech
support on this.

i have an apex QT

Hi,
I can get my user name and password logged in, I can get a book
selected, I
can get to the page to accept the agreement, I can get to the
dialog asking
me for the folder and file name.

Then, all I get is download failed.

Try using space to go through the dialog asking for your log in
information.

Press enter once you have typed in your user name and password.

You may have to go through the process twice -- and I have no
idea why, but
this sure doesn't work well on the Apex.

If anyone else has the method down for getting a book, please
pass it along.

Crystal

Hi does anyone use webbraille with their apex? I am unable to
log in with
my apex and I wondered if anyone had the same issue. When I go
to the
loc.gov/nls/braille I am instructed to enter network pass word.
There is
no edit field to enter my user name. Any ideas would be
appreciated. I
know from a friend already that both fields show up with the
sense
 products.
