Hi folks, but mostly at HW staff,

Well, the long awaited recording of the eighth BrailleNote Chat is now
up on the site. Due to editing difficulty on my computer, I had to use
my backup machine for linking the files. As usual, the files are
located under Podcast Radio.

In addition, I'm now accepting suggestions for a major version of
BrailleNote PBWorks, as well as a new user site that is scheduled to
be launched soon. The new user site will feature rewritten articles
from PBWorks, as well as user submitted documents, reorganized media
library and a repository of useful documents. For our friends, an
offline version of the site (at least the articles) will be availible
as well. The interface will resemble that of KeySoft with a main menu,
a shortcut list for major sections and others. So stay tuned for the
next few months as the site is being developed.

The new PBWorks version: In the upcoming release of BrailleNote
PBWorks (codenamed "central"), I (the webmaster), with help from
users, plan to improve navigation experience, as well as to provide a
downloadable archive of PBWorks articles and incorporate your
feedback. Some of the planned highlights in the new version include
"navigation menu" where you can navigate to major sections of the site
from anywhere, a site listing all availible pages and a new page for
hosting useful documents such as user guides. Just like previous
incarnations of the site, I plan to incorporate your comments on the
new version and, if you have something to write about, a chance for
you to write an article or more so that the developers can post it on
the site for you (and we'll give you credit). We (I and other
developers) hope to launch this version some time in late summer to
get many feedback from you (especially from HW staff) on the site.
Thanks, and looking forward to hearing your comments.

Sincerely,
Joseph S. Lee
