The vo sounds are probably muted. Just hit the volume up button while
vo is not speaking and they should return, or restart the phone.

To use the apex as a display:
1. Turn on bluetooth on both devices, then enter the braille terminal
on the apex and select the bluetooth port. Note that you do NOT search
for the iPhone with the bn's bluetooth menu.
2. On the phone, go to the accessibility settings, select VoiceOver,
select Braille, then select the apex.
3. When you do, a screen will appear where you type the passcode. Type
four zeros, then hit the "pair" button, which is in the upper right of
the screen, a little below the corner. You may want to find the pair
button the first time since the screen will disappear with an error
that you took too long, even though it has only been a few seconds.
You can do this a few times, but I believe the phone will eventually
block any more attempts until you tell it to "forget" the apex (in
bluetooth settings) and try again. I could be wrong about that.
