Hi Terri, in your message you wrote:
"Remember you can't use the Apex qwerty as a terminal for screen readers
because none of the keyboard hot keys will work. Only the thumb keys will
work."
And:
"Someone on this list said JAWS will work with the qwerty models, but that's
useless to me since I don't use JAWS."
So does this mean that the keys work with Jaws and the QT or not. I'm
wondering if the reports of the terminal not working is only with other
screen readers then Jaws or does it include Jaws because this isn't clear
to me and I haven't tried it because all I have read says that it doesn't
work with screen readers but this is the first I have heard about Jaws.
If it works with Jaws but not other programs then Terri you shouldn't say it
doesn't work with screen readers, you should say it doesn't work with
whatever screen readers you have tried or others have reported on instead of
making this sweeping statement.
From Shaz.
BN QT Apex and PK user.

The scroll buttons on the BrailleSense Plus qwerty are quieter than the
thumb keys on the Apex qwerty.
Remember you can't use the Apex qwerty as a terminal for screen readers
because none of the keyboard hot keys will work. Only the thumb keys will
work. So, if you plan to use the Apex as a terminal for a screenreader,
you will need to buy the bt model.
Someone on this list said JAWS will work with the qwerty models, but
that's useless to me since I don't use JAWS.
