Hi Marsha,
Thanks for the information. What you found out may also explain
why some of the books I downloaded in the past, now have a "date
Added" of July 1st or later.

Hi,
I spoke to HW earlier this week and they are aware of the
problem. Bookshare made changes on their end about 10 days ago
and the 2 groups are working to come up with a solution. For
now, if you download the books on a PC to a jump drive, you will
be able to unpack the books on your Apex. Hopefully this will be
resolved very soon.

Hi, I think Jasmine has a bt keyboard and I have a qt. I sure
don't know what difference it would make since we are both
running keysoft 9.1.
Carlos is right that you can download a file, but you see the
trouble when you try to unpack it. However, as it was noted in
earlier posts, if you look at the size of the downloaded file is
always 14.19 kb. I have also noticed something else. When Now
when I download a book, the file ends in brf. But I have an
older
file on my Apex that is still zipped, and it ends with .brf.zip.
I did 2 resets one with just pushing the button, and 1 holding
the button in for 5 seconds. I haven't tried anything else.
Any other thoughts? I know that I can download books on a pc and
all that, but I sure would like to get them back on my Apex.

I can't understand then Jasmine and Debby, why they doesn't work
on your Apex Debby. And you two have the same keysoft update.
So both of you have the same keyboard is that right?

Hi,
A BT is the braille keyboard.
Yes, this works on the Apex, because I've done it.

Hi Jasmine and Marisa,
I have a qt32, and this evening I tried again to download from
bookshare a couple of brf books. No go!! I have keysoft Version
9.1. It used to work.
Today as an experiment, I downloaded and unpacked a book at work.
I have an empower there, and it worked like a charm. So I don't
know what is going on. Can anyone else with a BT download brf
books?
Thanks!
Debby

Hi,
I don't have any trouble with bookshare. However, I have an Apex
with Keysoft 9.1, and my unit is a BT.
i don't know if knowing the type, whether BT or QT would matter.
HTH!
Sincerely,
Jasmine

Hi, everyone, I'm wondering if people are still having difficulty
downloading directly from Bookshare to the Apex.
