Hello,

My name is Carol. I have just been gifted an old BrailleNote 3.07. It has a 32-cell display. There are a few folders, but not all of the required files and folders seem to be here. The battery is dead, so every time the BN is unplugged, it loses memory. I read that this was not supposed to happen. A friend is sending me a pcmcia card and a compact flash and she believes that all future files should be stored there and will not be deleted. Is it possible to run applications from said card and most important, does anyone have the original files that came with the BN? I do not have any of the cables or anything else except the machine and the power cord, along with the CD which has the software and the read me files. I am finding them very useful, but will do better with them once I can put the files on the flash card and read the manual with the BN.

I would be happy to hear from anyone that is still using one of the old models and can guide me through some of the basics such as what type of cables I might need, etc. Thank you, and I look forward to reading posts from the group and getting to know my "new" BrailleNote.

Carol
