Hi.
The same thing happened to me. I had to send it back and they told me I had to pay a lot of money to replace the whole board, because they couldn't replace just the compact flash slot. Prices for blindness technology is extortionate these days, so good luck!

Subject: [Braillenote] Broken compact flash card slot

Hi all,

I tried to send this message from a different account but am
not sure it went through so am re-sending. The compact flash card slot on the back of my BrailleNote is no longer working; it seems like a piece must have somehow gotten detached, as I can feel a loose piece. I have no idea how this might have happened; this BrailleNote has never been dropped or roughly handled, and it was working fine just moments ago. So, is there any way to fix this myself, or will I need to send it to the company? I am assuming the latter but wanted to check.

Thanks...

Lucy
