Use either computer braille or UEB. In either case, backspace-3-5 will be your friend, offering a searchable (space-f) list of all symbols available. Here are some basic U.S. computer braille symbols for math: plus: 3 4 6 period: 4 6 numbers: dropped, like in Nemeth, but no number sign dollar sign: 1 2 4 6 equals: 1 2 3 4 5 6 star (use for times): 1 6 slash (divide): 3 4 comma: 6 colon: 1 5 6
If you use a U.K. code, I can't help since I don't know that one. I know U.S. okay, and Spanish computer braille quite well, and I'm pretty good with UEB if you decide to go that route. Good luck.
