Hi, I've configured Key word to automatically save in .doc specifically for this reason. MJ

Unfortunately, KeyWord braille or text cannot be edited on a computer - it won't recognize it. Are you okay with that, or do you want to be able to edit the files from your computer also? Ideally, what I would like to do is plug in my apex at the end of the day, sync and have any calendar appointments, any changed files and any changed contacts just appear on the other device. I would prefer not to mess around with memory sticks and thus have version clnflicts ETC. I simply would like the thing to work. Is this possible? For file syncing, do you need a specific pocket version of a Word document, or are you comfortable with opening doc files on your Apex? If your intention is to copy files (not contacts or calendar) around between your Apex and your computer, I thok ing'd be better to do it using a thumb drive or a USB, since (I think) WMDC nowadays is used to sync contacts and calendar more than say, moving files between a mobile device and a computer. Hope this helps, and if you reply, to have the post sent to us, use reply to all. Thanks. However when I put things in there and sync, it has not created a corresponding folder either on \ or on my flash disc. This is becoming crazy! Thanks for all the helpthough, MJ -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Joseph Lee Sent: Tuesday, November 01, 2011 3:17 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [Braillenote] continuing problem with sync questions Hi, This came only to me. Cheers, Joseph ---- Original Message ------ From: "Matthew J" <[email protected] Subject: RE: [Braillenote] continuing problem with sync questions Date sent: Tue, 1 Nov 2011 15:06:46 -0000 Hi, Thanks for that. I have checked files under sync options, but no folder has been created in my documents. Yes I would very much like to sync calendar and contacts. I am out and about and having someone's contact info right there is very handy, plus if I update outlook, it syncs with my phone as well. Speaking of .net, I have checked my programs and features list, and I see: Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile Microsoft Corporation 10/17/2011 Is this the .net you speak of? If so, I've got it already. If not, what do I need? Thanks, MJ -----Original Message----- From: Joseph Lee [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, November 01, 2011 2:13 PM To: Matthew J; [email protected] Subject: re: [Braillenote] continuing problem with sync questions Hi, 1. You need to enable Files option under synchronization list. Then it'll create "sznchronized files" folder on Flash and will create "(name]s documents" (where name is the partnerxip name for BN) will be created on My Documents. 2. Sounds like .NET 4.0 is not installed on your machine. I guess a word from HW programmer could clear things up, but I think installing .NET 4.0 would solve this. BTW, do you need to sync contacts and calendar between your BN and desktop? If not, then I don't see any merit in using Windows Mobile Device Center apart from using your computer's Internet connection. I have two questions however: 1: How do I set up a folder between the two that WMDC will sync every time the unit is connected? I thought it placed a folder in the My Documents folder, but it has not done this. This program is not really the most accessible of solutions, but I shall forego the comment about Humanware being a blind-centred company clearly not making adequate provision for accessibility on the windows side.you get the idea. 2. When I try to sync using Keysync, I get the following error: The 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0' provider is not registered on the local machine. Can anyone advise on this?
